Beautiful location, beautiful light and a beautiful couple creates a wonderful engagement session. Amber and Jeremy were willing to drive about an hour into the Tillamook Forest, through winding gravel roads past Timber, Oregon. They hiked .8 miles to the perfect spot. The Nehalem River cuts through the forest here, it looks more like a stream at that point but it’s so peaceful and pretty. Amber and Jeremy were awesome, they did not mind walking and wading in the bitter cold water. They had a few laughs trying to find their balance while standing on rocks barefoot. We found a perfect log to walk across and the couple snuggled right up and made themselves feel at home. They are home in the woods, they love being outdoors and they love each other and those two things shine through these photos. The couple met when Amber’s aunt, Julie, told her co-worker, Jeremy, to call Amber up and ask her out on a date. Jeremy took Julie’s advice and asked Amber out for ice cream. I would say “the rest is history” but more appropriately I would say that’s just the beginning of their love story and I can’t wait to photograph the next piece, the wedding.
Amber and Jeremy, I’m thrilled that Julie introduced you to each other AND referred me to be your photographer. You were fantastic to photograph and I can’t wait for your wedding. I hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed taking them. Congratulations and I’ll see you in a few months!
