I love it when people come to visit Oregon and want to do a photo session in my beautiful state. Not only do I get to show them just a tiny slice of where I call home but I also get to meet people from all over the country. Mike and Jessica are from Massachusetts (small town outside of Boston). They planned a vacation in Oregon, hitting all of my favorite places; Bend, Newport and of course Portland. Jessica was unaware of one small detail that Mike planned himself. He contacted me and told me he was going to propose to Jessica while in Oregon and he wanted to document the special occasion. I got an email from Mike two days before our session stating that she said YES and the gorgeous diamond ring was officially on her finger. Mike proposed in one of the most icon spots in Oregon, Multnomah Falls. They hiked to the top and he popped the question. For the session they came out to my neck of the woods. Mike & Jess drove around the countryside with me, kissing under train bridges, running through wheat fields and even playing in a little rain. Despite a quick sprinkle (and a forecast that was calling for gray-rainy skies) it was a gorgeous evening with a wonderful couple and a lot of love, laughter and joy.
Mike & Jess- congratulations!!! My husband and I enjoyed getting to know you after the shoot. We hope you enjoyed your visit to Oregon. Next time you’re out West give us a call and we’ll buy you a beer. Good luck with the wedding planning. And enjoy a long, loving life together. Enjoy the photos.
