Portland Family Photographer- Takas

I have been photographing the Takas family now for years. Every photo session is different, and I love it! This year’s session I thought was a fantastic idea (all to Tracy’s credit). Tabatha had just started her first year of school- Tracy and Bill thought it would be awesome to have documentation of the school, playground, and just Tabatha being a kid. And Tabby is GREAT at being a kid- so playful, fun and full of energy. She’s such a cutie and I always enjoy photographing her smiling face. We had a blast with this idea. Bill and Tracy were up for a few of my more “playful” ideas that had them jumping up and down and sitting on the cold pavement within the United States map… they all sat on the state they were originally from.

At first, I thought maybe photographing at a school would be challenging- for aesthetic reasons. But it was actually the opposite- there were a lot of graphic elements I could play with and I really enjoyed it. (For example the lead photo- love it!) I hope Tracy doesn’t mind, but I want to steal her idea and photograph more families at the child’s school. It’s great for memories and storytelling.

Tracy and Bill, as always, thank you for having me as your family photographer. It’s always a joy to photograph the three of you! I can’t wait to see what 2020 will bring. Enjoy the photos.
