“I love this cream-colored chair,” I thought to myself when I was editing these photos. Yes, it’s a great chair with a nice neutral color. And it always sits next to a window which allows for nice light. But really, I love this chair, because of the people who sit on its cushions. This chair has been in a few of my photo sessions now but you’ll never notice it because your eyes immediately go towards the beautiful mom, Laura, holding one of her beautiful children. This time around it’s the newest addition, Miss Georgia. Or you’ll see Sam tickling his eldest, Joey, with their super cute pup nearby, Dexter. I’m sure the chair has seen it all- tears, laughter, joy, yawns, trucks, drool, and dog fur. And so have I! This is my fifth photo session with the Kalin family and I absolutely love documenting a slice of their life. I did Georgia’s (named after her great-grandmother) newborn photos in the comfort of their wonderful home. Joey, who just turned two, enjoyed driving his trucks (especially the digger) all over the house. Joey is also a big fan of chapstick. Did you know it makes for a great face cream? 😉 I had a wonderful time photographing Georgia’s first few days in the Kalin home.
Laura & Sam, always a pleasure. Georgia is beautiful. Joey is hilarious. Dexter is adorable. You have a perfect family and the imperfections (like chapstick faces) are the best part. I hope you enjoy the photos.
