The graduating class of 2018 is awesome and come this summer there will be a lot of students entering the great world of adulthood, including Mr. Jacob Kenney. He is one of the good guys- he’s talented, smart, hard-working and kind. I’ve had the privilege of coaching him at Sunset High School and I’ve watched him become a stronger swimmer and a fantastic human being. He’s is one of our captains this year and has done a great at being a team leader. Jacob also is one heck of a water polo player! You’ll see a few images with his parka and water polo ball (the ball lends its self to a more photogenic prop than cap and goggles- ha!) Jacob has a bright future in front of him- he plans on attending Oregon State and will study electrical engineering. Whatever he chooses to do, I know he’ll give 100% and thrive.
We had a great time during our photo shoot. Of course, we talked about swimming and water polo but we also chatted about music (another favorite topic between us both) and other joys of life. Jacob and I ventured downtown for his senior session. We found a great inside spot to escape the rain and it even provided us with a cityscape background… you just have to use your imagination a little bit. 😉 The rain stopped for a few minutes and we were able to grab a few outdoor photos as well.
Jacob- You will definitely be missed next year. It’s been a pleasure coaching you and getting to know you. Thank you for having me as your photographer too! I hope you have a wonderful final swim season, a great senior year, and I wish you all the best for your future. I hope you enjoy the photos.
