I met Lena two years ago… she walked into the Sunset swimming pool with her wonderful smile and she has entertained me for two swim seasons now. Yes, I am her swim coach. Lena remembered that when I am not yelling at boys to get in the water or teaching flip turns that my full time gig is a photographer. So she asked me to do her senior portraits. I was thrilled that she asked me! We started at her home and photographed Lena with her two beloved dogs. (They are super cute!) She is wonderful with animals… which is a good thing because she wants to be a veterinarian. Then we ventured down town to the industrial area where we photographed some stellar, grunge-like shots. Lena looked like a model strutting down the road. After the city adventure we made a quick stop by the water for some shots with the Freemont Bridge. (She loves water… of course. What swimmer doesn’t?) We finished our lovely photo shoot out in the country… I played some country songs to get us in the cowgirl-like mood. Lena and I had a great time together, we always do. I was so happy to be her photographer… but the “senior” part of the photo session makes me sad because that means this is my last season with her.
Lena- you’re awesome! Good luck with your senior year… show up to all your practices so you can keep me sane… and I wish you nothing but the best with all your future endeavors. Enjoy the photos!
